all that "beamerball" nonsense is great if it translates to wins in big games.......but blocking 2 kicks in a game against the st marys school for the blind......doesnt mean a damn thing

Auburn beat Clemson working a 2 QB system in a new offense they had only practiced for a week....so yeah, if you have the ability it can work with 2 QBs.

Well, I never have believed in the 2 qb system. I seem to remember that the cowboys had it a few years ago and it failed miserably for them. I don't remember both qbs but one of them was White, who, by the way also doubled as their punter also.

I just believe that it sends the offense a message that the coach is unable or unwilling to make a decision as to whom their field leader is.

i disagree 100%

what it says is that you have 2 qbs......who are usually very different in style.......and you have found a way to work both of their talents into your offense for a different look and use them both as weapons

2 QBs on the pro level is a much different story than in the college ranks....it definately DOES NOT work in the NFL.

i agree

if you use that in the NFL it means you have two equally shitty qbs and you are trying to find the one who sucks the least

but normally in the NFL you have one guy you pay alot of money to.......to be YOUR qb......and you base your offense around him

The only way it could ever work at the college level is if you have qbs of the caliber that florida had with Tebow and company. Tebow was actually the better qb, but no one saw that until this year. It would take two totally different styles and the ability of the rest of the offense to recognize the differences and capitalize on them. Call it "old school" for me, but I just believe that it will not work on a consistant basis and that is what a team looks for: consistancy that leads to success. In VT's case, the team showed no consistancy when it came down to it, meaning playing against teams in big games. Yeah, it works when you are playing mediocre-sub level teams, but not against teams of the same caliber. I guess you would have to call me "close-minded" LOL

I wouldn't say that it takes 2 high caliber QBs...I mean it was only one game, but Cox and Burns isn't exactly Leak and Tebow. South Carolina did pretty well with it at times. Having a 2 QB system in college makes the other team prepare more cuz most of the time one QB is more of a passer and the other is more of a runner. In the NFL, you have to have a QB that can pass cuz most if not all of the D is gonna be stronger, bigger, and faster than he is...that isn't the case in college. And that's why it works on that level.
